Charlotte Perkins Gilman 1915

Unfortunately, this is written from memory.

On the eve of World War I, three American explorers stumble upon an all-female society somewhere in the farthest reaches of the earth. Unable to believe their eyes, they quickly set out to find some men, convinced that since this is a civilized country, there must be men. Thus begins this brilliant utopian novel, a journey through an entire "masculine" and "feminine" world, as accurate today as when it was written 65 years ago.
